Every Feezlinkz installation is quoted in writing before we dispatch, with the hardware, the cable and the labour as separate lines. Nothing is added to your bill after the job is done.
What you need to have ready
This is the part that decides whether the job takes one visit or two. If these five things are true on the day, it is one visit.
- A dry, ventilated, shaded place for the inverter and the battery. Not a bathroom, not a storeroom with no airflow.
- A firm, level base for the battery. A 15 kWh lithium battery weighs about 100 kg. It does not go on a hollow carton or a plastic drum.
- An earthed socket where the system will live, and a distribution board you are happy for us to work on.
- Clear access to the battery space, the meter position and the roof or wall the panels will go on.
- Somebody who can give us access on the day and stay until we have finished.
Not sure where the battery can go? Send us a photo of the room first and send a photo of the room. It is much easier to move a plan on paper than a 100 kg battery on concrete.
What we are mounting
- Felicity 15 kWh lithium battery — the one most full kits are built around
- SMS 10 kWh lithium battery
- Felicity 10 kWh lithium battery
- Kartel hybrid inverters
How the job runs, end to end
- Survey. We measure the cable run from the battery to the inverter to the distribution board, look at the roof or the wall, and check the earthing. This is the step that decides the price.
- Written quote. You get the hardware, the cable and materials, and the labour, each as its own line. Nothing is bundled into a single number you cannot check.
- You confirm on WhatsApp. We do not dispatch until you have confirmed the price and the date in writing.
- Delivery. Ilorin is under 12 hours, everywhere else in Nigeria under 48 hours, counted from the day you pay.
- Install day. Mount, cable, protect, terminate, commission, load test.
- Handover, in writing. The settings we programmed, the warranty period that applies to each item, and the number to ring if something is not right.
What we actually do on the day
- Set the battery on its base and bond it to earth.
- Run the DC cable in the correct gauge for the distance, and the AC cable in the correct gauge for the load.
- Fit the protective devices — fuses, breakers, surge protection — and the changeover where one is needed.
- Set the inverter and battery parameters to the manufacturer’s values for your battery type. A lithium battery set as “tubular”, or a 12 V battery on a 48 V inverter, is the single most common way people void their own warranty.
- Load test. We switch everything on and run the loads you actually want to power before we leave. A system that has not been load tested is not finished.
- Show you the monitoring app or the fault log, and write down the numbers you need.
How long it takes
The date is agreed with you on WhatsApp before we dispatch, and we do not dispatch until you have confirmed it. If we are going to be late, we tell you before the promised date, not after it.
What we will not do is publish an hour count on this page, because we cannot stand behind one that applies to your job. What sets the time is the cable run: swapping a battery into a system that is already there is one thing, and running new cable to a new distribution board on the far side of a compound is another. We measure first, then we commit to a date. That is the honest answer, and it is the one that gets the system working.
What installation costs, and how the price is built
There is no fixed installation fee on this shop, and the product price you see on a product page is the price of the box in that box. Your installation quote is a separate document, and it is built from these parts:
| Line on your quote | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Labour | The survey, the mounting, the cable runs, the terminations, commissioning and the load test. |
| Cable and materials | DC and AC cable to the length your site needs, breakers, fuses, surge protection, gland and conduit, at cost. |
| Distribution board work | Only if your board has to change. Most swaps do not need it; a new circuit does. |
| Travel | Agreed with you in the quote, not added at the gate. |
Three rules, and they are the reason we would rather quote than advertise a price:
- You have the number before we dispatch, not on arrival.
- If we open the job up and find something the survey could not have seen, we stop and tell you, with the extra cost, and we do not carry on until you say yes. We do not finish the job and then present the invoice.
- Nothing is added afterwards. If we quoted it, that is what you pay.
Things worth doing before we arrive
- Decide where the battery will live. Everything else follows from that.
- Tell us what you are actually trying to run, and for how many hours. “Power the whole house” and “keep the fridge, the lights and the fans going for four hours” are different systems with very different prices.
- Clear the space. Move what is in the storeroom, not on install day.
- Check the roof or the wall is reachable and safe. If it needs a ladder we would rather bring the right one.
After the job
Every item we install carries the manufacturer’s warranty, we lodge the claim with the brand for you, and we tell you the correct settings so a wrong setting does not void your own cover. Read Warranty & Guarantee before you accept the handover, and keep the warranty card that is in the box.
